- A Competitor may show more than one horse in a class. In this case, all horses must have handlers and handlers must have appropriate attire. Personal Attire – recommended - Long sleeve shirt should compliment the horse but should be conservative. - Trousers should be loose enough to run in, jeans are forbidden. - Long or short boots or Running Shoes. - Traditional English attire is also acceptable. Tack Appointments - ‘Y’ Lead or Reins are acceptable. - Snaffle Bits Only – Loose Ring, Egg-Butt, D-Ring, and Full Cheek Snaffle Bits. Tack Appointments - Prohibited - Kimblewicks (Spanish Snaffle Bits) - Pelhams - Full Bridles (Bit & Bradoon) - Chains. Hack-RIDDEN Personal Appointments - Jodhpurs - Canary, Fawn, Beige or Banana in colour. - Hacking Jacket – Conservative Colour - Boots – Either long or short are acceptable. Jodhpur Clips are acceptable for Youth - Headwear - Hunting Cap or Approved Safety Helmet (AS/NS 3838) - Collared Shirt and Tie, stock or ratcatcher (colour optional) Personal Attire - Optional - Spurs – Dummy or Rowels (rowels must be blunt/smooth and free to rotate) Max Length 2”. - Cane, Crop, Vest or Gloves. End of Year Hi Point Awards: To be eligible you must be a financial member of VPHA, your horse must be nominated, you must have competed at 5 shows, or half the monthly shows run, whichever is greater, with your nominated horse. This can include the Multi Judge show. Early Bird & Regular shows run in the same month are considered to be only one show; the State show is not eligible.
